Stevie Parker confirms details of debut album ‘The Cure’

Out on May 19th, expect more spine-melting moments to soundtrack the summer

Stevie Parker just keeps on delivering. With track after track, the Bristolian soother has laid out a world of her own, one that we can’t help but dive on into at any opportunity. So it’s a blooming wonderful note that Stevie has now laid out details of her debut LP ‘The Cure’.

Out on May 19th, ‘The Cure’ is set to feature the already-released title track, standout ‘Without You’ and ‘Better Off’ for a collection of atmospheric and sleek grooves at every turn. Speaking about the album, Stevie detailed the personal ebbs and flows that make up its 12 track run:

“Although I’m tempted to say ‘The Cure’ is a heartbreak record, I think it goes on a bit of a voyage – it was written over many years. But as young people, we are often affected most deeply by our relationships, so I would say the dominant theme is the tumultuous nature of falling in and out of love, and how that occurs in various ways at different stages of our lives.”

Featuring contributions from Warpaint’s Stella Mogwaza on drums, it’s one to highlight in the diaries for sure – especially with the release date timing perfectly with Stevie’s appearance at this year’s The Great Escape.

With further headline shows in London, Newcastle and Glasgow soon after, expect Stevie Parker to be a name we’ll be playing over and over this summer.
