Now then. Are we sitting comfortably? It’s wall-to-wall bangers this week, with new’uns from Beth Ditto, Wavves, At The Drive In, INHEAVEN and Grizzly Bear. Meanwhile, our faves Get Inuit refused to grow up with ‘All My Friends’, Kasabian unleashed ‘Ill Ray (The King)’ on an unsuspecting public, and Angel Haze showed off her visual art skills in the mammoth new video for ‘Resurrection’. And have you heard the new single from Bournemouth indie-pop duo Dumb Lovers? It’s a beauty.
As if that wasn’t enough to be getting on with, we also got caught up in the battle between love and jealousy with Estrons, teamed up with our pals at Heavy Pop to bring Palace to Reading, and absolutely, 100% lost our minds when the banger klaxon sounded once again for not just one but two new tracks from LCD Soundsystem. (We’ve composed ourselves a bit now, but we’re still head over heels for James Murphy and co.) Then there are those glorious live dates from (Sandy) Alex G to scope out while we get ready for our mates Husky Loops to raise the Dork flag and hit the road for a three-date whistle stop tour.
