Fantasy Festivals with Get Inuit

Ahead of both Live At Leeds and Handmade, Get Inuit’s Jamie Glass starts planning his own event…

If you were hosting your very own festival, for you and no one else, and every band or musician you asked had to say yes – sometimes even resurrecting themselves – who would you pick? It’s a tough question, isn’t it? Get Inuit’s Jamie Glass runs through the bands he’d book if he was in charge of putting together a festival, instead of turning up to dance about and play some bangers.

PUP
After careful deliberation, I honestly think they have been the best live band I have ever had the privilege to see and hear in the flesh. I’m a sucker for gang vocals, and PUP are a lollipop filled with them.

Sufjan Stevens
It’s hard enough to get any opportunity to see him in the UK. ‘Carrie And Lowell’ is one of my favourite albums. I think I’d melt if I heard it live.

The Smiths
If only for the bragging rights that I was able to get them back together. Mmmm…. Tasty bragging rights.

The Big Moon
I recently played a few shows with them and it would be remiss of me not to talk about them considering talking about them is currently my favourite pastime. I’d have them headline after The Smiths. And before. And an acoustic set.

Sean Paul
Imagine a festival set of all of his tunes/features with a rolling cast performing with him. There is a strong chance that it would be a sign of the apocalypse, but it’s a risk I’m willing to take.

Weezer
Because everyone expects me to say Weezer. Never heard of them personally.

Get Inuit play Dork’s stage at Live At Leeds on 29th April, followed by Handmade Festival on 30th April.
