The Bay Rays’ ‘Live At Leeds Warm-Up’ playlist

Get in the mood for Live At Leeds with The Bay Rays.

Dork’s heading oop North later this month to take over a stage at Live At Leeds, with a line-up that features former Dork cover act VANT alongside other faves Get Inuit, Idles, several bands with ‘dead’ in their name, and loads more. It’s going to be great.

To get us in the spirit, The Bay Rays have put together a warm-up playlist, featuring a bunch of songs to get you hyped up and in the mood for festival fun.

Tower Of Power – What is Hip
David Garibaldi and Francis Rocco Prestia are the dream team rhythm section I think any band would aspire to play like them.

The Jam – Pretty Green
The way the band sit in the groove on this song gives it power without having to turn everything up to 11.

The White Stripes – Black Math
The way Jack White strips everything back to the bare bones leaves The raw energy to come through.

Led Zeppelin – Immigrant Song
This is the song which I think every rock ‘n’ roll band aspires to write one day.

Queens Of The Stone Age – I Sat By The Ocean
The perfect example of when pop meets rock and works so well.

Modest Mouse – Float On
One of the most distinctive vocalists and filled with personality and melody.

LCD Soundsystem – Dance Yrself Clean
we saw them at Glastonbury 2016 after playing our set on the BBC Introducing stage and I think it’s a moment ourselves and our manager will never forget.

The Black Keys – On The Vista
The Black Keys done a hip hop album, what more can you ask for?!

Nas – Life’s A Bitch
A song with no truer word spoken.. LIFE’S A BITCH.

A$AP Rocky – L$D
We listen to this song before going on stage to get us pumped up. Works every time.

The Doors – Riders On The Storm
Had a great time taking horse tranquillisers listening to this on the record player. Fully recommend it!

Live At Leeds will take place on 29th April. Visit liveatleeds.com for more information.
