George Ezra brings a magical evening of music, laughs & more to London’s Union Chapel

Along with a bunch of his friends, it was a pretty special night – raising awareness and funds for mental health charity Mind.

Everyone have a good weekend? Really does feel quite Christmas-y now doesn’t it? Well, that’s probably got something to do with our mate George Ezra – who hosted a very special evening on Friday night (December 8th), inviting a load of his mates down for an intimate night at London’s Union Chapel all in aid of mental health charity Mind.

After more than 10,000 fans applied to win tickets through a ballot, the show was crammed top to bottom with special moments. From comedienne Josie Long kick-starting the evening with tales of singing along to Take That, to the fizzing stripped-back rawness of Ten TonnesGeorge well and truly pulled together a bill designed to produce something truly unique in the Chapel’s stunning hall. After further sets from Billie Marten and The Kooks’ Luke Pritchard (who certainly had the singalong hits to get everyone in the mood), George took to the stage for a big ‘ol set.

Mixing old favourites and unreleased new material into one delectable mix, it was a shimmering insight to where he’s heading in 2018 – with the likes of ‘Pretty Shining People’, ‘Hold My Girl’, ‘Shotgun’ and ‘All My Love’ already sounding like anthems we’ll be hearing over and over. Rounding out the evening with a timely take on ‘White Christmas’, the chapel was on its feet as ‘Budapest’ sent everyone into the night with a smile and that warm feeling that George pulled together something pretty darn ace.

You can check out some lovely snaps of the evening right at the top, along with all the details on George’s setlist below. You can even donate to Mind by texting FIVE to 70660 to give £5 (full details on that can be found at the bottom of the page).
