SWMRS get the party going at Reading 2016

This lot open things up with ease.

It’s the stuff of dreams, really. You’re opening a stage at Reading-bloody-Festival, and already you’ve provoked a sing-a-long. That’s not supposed to happen for at least a few hours yet, right?

SWMRS have history with Reading and Leeds, or at least certain segments of their family tree do, but it’s credit to them that there’s not even the slightest suggestion this is a band trading off someone else’s hereditary success. Instead they sound more vital, more energised than their peers could ever hope to be.

‘Miley’ sends the crowd mad, and from there the only way is up. Festivals may get stick for rotating the same few bands, but SWMRS are the people you want starting every party. As ‘Drive North’ kicks in with teeth bared, those invites should come thick and fast from now on.
