The 1975 have promised they’ll return to smaller venues too after playing their massive UK arena tour this December.
Writing during a Tumblr AMA session, the band revealed they’ll play “whatever our show at the time requires” and that “for the end of the ‘I Like It When You Sleep…’ era arenas are necessary”.
They also confirm they’d “love to” play a Wembley Stadium show. No shit, lads.
Elsewhere, the band explain how they go about the creative process. “[It] normally starts with a conversation about a song that we love and why we love it,” the band. “Then we kind of copy it and make our own version of it – whether we copy the musicality or the sentiment behind it differs. George will create something then present it to us and we go from there. Lyrics very rarely are written for specific songs – at least until very late. I just write randomly and then appropriate the lyrics to the songs later”
