The 1975 have unveiled a video for latest single ‘Somebody Else’ and things get pretty dark.
Continuing on from their previous ‘A Change of Heart’ clip, it finds ol’ Matty Healy turning from a downbeat clown into a troubled late-night stroller, struggling to come to terms with everything that’s going on around him.
Through late night bars, intimate moments in the back seat of a car and enough skateboarding falls to make those YouTube videos seem amateur, it’s a dark descent of an evening and the most terrifying version of swapped faces since Face/Off.
‘Somebody Else’ is taken from the band’s phenomenally successful recent record ‘I Like It When You Sleep, For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware Of It’ (and yes, we do know that off by heart now – Ed).
The 1975 will play their biggest headline show in December at London’s O2 Arena – with tickets selling out in just under three hours.
