The 1975’s George Daniel breaks shoulder, will miss shows

The band aren’t cancelling though.

The 1975’s George Daniel has had a bit of an accident, ruling him out of shows for “a few weeks.”

Tweeting about the news, frontman Matt Healy explained the drummer “can’t play shows for a bit”, but confirmed “we’re not gonna cancel shows”.

“Our friend will play drums,” Healy revealed, “but you prob won’t be able to see him like a ghost in the back.”

Meanwhile, The 1975’s manager Jamie Oborne explains George picked up the injury slipping while getting off the tour bus.

The 1975 are currently on tour in the US, where – apart from a short dash to Germany for Rock im Park – they’re scheduled up until Glastonbury later next month. [sc name=”stopper” ]
