Aathens share their ‘Aspirations’ with new video

Scuzzy in the best possible way.

Aathens are today premiering their lo-fi and fuzzed-out video for ‘Aspirations’ – watch below, first on Dork.

It’s a song that displays buckets of promise, taken from the London band’s debut EP ‘TVEP’, which was written in the basement of defunct venue Powerlunches, and is due for release on 14th October.

“I guess it’s a song about a kind of bad faith that’s around at the moment and the extent to which I feel embedded in it, or maybe even complicit with it,” says the band’s Patrick Browne. “Heavy, right? That’s why we threw in a guitar solo and stretched the whole thing out – it was originally just meant to be 40 seconds of barking and twitching.”
