Alice Glass says Ethan Kath’s defamation lawsuit against her has been dismissed

“This is a victory for survivors of abuse and sexual misconduct in countries where abusers will use the court system to further victimize and keep people silent. We will not be silenced.”

Alice Glass has revealed she’s defeated a defamation lawsuit from former Crystal Castles bandmate Ethan Kath.

“I won in court today,” Glass wrote on Twitter. “The defamation lawsuit against me was dismissed! Thank you so much for the love and support through this ugly process”

“This is a victory for survivors of abuse and sexual misconduct in countries where abusers will use the court system to further victimize and keep people silent. We will not be silenced.”

Kath, real name Claudio Palmieri, filed the suit in response to an open letter from Glass alleging sexual, physical, mental and psychological abuse. Other victims since came forward, with the Toronto Police Force’s Sex Crimes Unit investigating.

In a statement to TMZ last year, Kath refuted the accusations, claiming: “I can’t support extortion, false claims, and accusations put forth after the band attained new success without her. False allegations take away voice from true victims and that’s what saddens me most about all of this.”
