Drumming in Alt-J is a pretty spectacular day job, so sliding off to create your very own solo collection does rise the expectations, with Thom Sonny Green set to release his first collection ‘High Anxiety’.
Set for release on August 19th, the record will see Green accompany each track with a video, collaborating with visual artist Nichola Farnan to create a truly unique body of work.
As described in a pre-prepared statement, the album is described as having “a long-abiding interest in cerebral, idiosyncratic electronica on an album that is warm, yet experimental; playful yet considered; superficially accessible yet simultaneously deep, with Green demonstrating his complete artistry as songwriter, producer and visual artist.”
Can’t sum it up any better really? Puts us lot to shame!
