So… Arcade Fire debuted some new material at a show in New Orleans over the weekend

Slight issue though, there’s no footage of it…

Arcade Fire have quietly been going about their business as of late, headlining Voodoo Festival in New Orleans over the weekend along with playing a small private show – where they apparently debuted some fresh new music.

But, turns out all those in attendance had their phones confiscated so we couldn’t get any cheeky footage of it all. Cheeky move.

So all we have to go off is the Times Picayune, who are quoted as saying the tracks are “dynamic, danceable rock … driven by percussive-heavy beats with a flavour of disco” which tackle some “weighty issues”.

Sounding great.

With Will Butler of the band previously saying we should expect a new Arcade Fire album in Spring 2017, we can really get excited about the anticipated follow-up to 2013’s ‘Reflektor’.
