Arcade Fire played a secret show in Montreal on Saturday night, previewing songs from their new album.
According to the Montreal Gazette, they performed for approximately 50 guests at a space on Parthenais St., with attendees asked to check their phones in at the door.
They then performed for over an hour, with half a dozen new songs played. They “exhibited pop and electronic influences in the vein of Reflektor”, according to someone lucky enough to get in.
Arcade Fire fan site Arcade Fire Tube adds that the band may have been shooting a video at the show. Looks like things are starting to hot up before those summer festivals.
