Alex Turner has reportedly offered a small update on Arctic Monkeys’ new material.
Bumping into a fan at the airport, he apparently “gave away nothing about UK dates”, but did reveal they’d have a new single out “soon”.
And, if the photo’s anything to go by, hopefully there’s a haircut in his future, too.
The band recently confirmed six new dates, in Berlin, Rome, Paris, Milan, Dusseldorf and Copenhagen this May – check out the details on the poster below.
Currently, Arctic Monkeys’ only UK date is at TRNSMT later this summer, but it’s likely there are more on the way.
An application has been submitted by SJM Concerts to Sheffield City Council to stage “up to a maximum of four dates” of live music at Hillsborough Park in September.
Rumour has it, it’ll be for some big old ’Monkeys homecoming shows to celebrate the release of their as-yet-unannounced new album; the follow up to 2013’s ‘AM’.
@ArcticMonkeysUS just met Al again. I can confirm the beard remains, but he gave away nothing about UK dates and said the single would be “soon” ??♂️ pic.twitter.com/WY6DEzBgGc
