Reading’s Are You Listening? Festival has announced its final batch of acts for 2018.
36 new names are joining the bill for the event, which has raised over £45,000 for Reading Mencap since launching in 2013.
Leading the new announcement are The Lovely Eggs. Described as “England’s hardest working gonzo rockers”, the recently dropped their latest full-length, ‘This Is Eggland’, produced by Dave Dridmann (Flaming Lips, Tame Impala).
They’re joined by indie supergroup The Surfing Magazines, built from two-thirds of The Wave Pictures and one-half of Slow Club. There’s also The Bulmershe Ensemble, UK Beatboxing champ Grace Savage, Field Music collaborator Slug, Ben Marwood, Valeras, She Makes War and more.
They join a bill already incluing Idles, Field Music, Yonaka, Vinyl Staircase, Her’s and tonnes more.
Festival organizer Dave Maul says: “We can’t wait for Saturday 28th April to come around and are delighted to have added the likes of The Lovely Eggs, Beatboxing champion/singer Grace Savage, The Last Dinosaur who made a beautiful album last year in ‘The Nothing’. Of course, not forgotten all of the amazing local talent including local choir The Bulmershe Ensemble.”
