The Avalanches to make their live return this summer

They’ll play Field Day, Primavera Sound and Splendour In The Grass.

After years of will-they-won’t-they speculation, rumours, gossip, fake tracks and other related hot air, it appears The Avalanches are finally back (Back! Back!!)

After a change in social media imagery started some tenuous whispers, it has been announced the group will make a live return to play three festivals this summer, suggesting that there’s at least hope we’ll get the (very) long-awaited follow-up to 2000’s ‘Since I Left You’.

The Avalanches last performance was in 2007, with their last DJ set five years ago, in 2011. Now, they’re returning to play two sets at Primavera Sound (June 3rd at Parc del Fòrum and June 5th at the closing party in the sala Apolo), Field Day London on June 12th, and Australia’s Splendour in the Grass (July 22nd-24th).
