Bad News Club arrives with the achingly raw debut cut ‘The Painter’

Expect more heartbreaking honesty when he headlines London’s Servant Jazz Quarters on February 28th

Arriving with a flash of chilling honesty, Bad News Club has brought all the feels with debut cut ‘The Painter’.

The Haslemere-based wordsmith weaves devastating pain and unfiltered reality throughout the stripped raw number, a glimpse into a voice that’s destined to captivate over the coming years ahead.

Recorded on an iPhone first-time round (now that’s efficient), Bad News Club went on to explain the track by saying:

“At the end of last year I had a conversation with someone I hold very dear in my life. I came home straight after, wrote ‘The Painter’ and recorded it live in my room onto my phone – and it’s that very first take that you’re hearing.”

That pretty much explains it right.

Signed to paradYse records (aka the place that brought you the likes of Dork cover favourites Blaenavon, Marika Hackman and Spring King amongst others) you can tell if that great company is anything to go by then we’ll be hearing loads more from this chap. He’ll start with his debut headline show at London’s Servant Jazz Quarters on February 28th.
