Bastille have confirmed they’re nearly done writing their next album.
Now they just need to get into a studio and record it. Drummer Chris Wood let the cat out of the bag in an interview with TalkSport, revealing the band would head into the studio in the coming weeks to lay the songs down.
As reported by The List, Chris told TalkSport, “We finished our album campaign Saturday just gone. That’s us done for this album but we’re going to head back into the studio in the next few weeks. The album is pretty much written in some way shape or form but we need to go and make it and record it.”
He also teased new music coming very soon, with a single due to be released to tie in with an upcoming movie. “There’s also a song coming out in the next few weeks which I can’t say anything about but it’s part of … possibly a film.”
Previously, frontman Dan Smith hinted to NME that the new album would be an “apocalyptic party record”.
