Bastille have beaten Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds to the top of the UK album charts.
‘Wild World’ follows the band’s debut record, ‘Bad Blood’ into the Number One slot, with combined first week sales of 36,000. Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds’ ‘Skeleton Tree’ becomes the band’s highest charting release, hitting Number Two, with a re-release of The Beatles only official live album ‘Live at the Hollywood Bowl’ sitting at Number Three.
Elsewhere Twin Atlantic hit Number 9 with ‘GLA’, with fellow Scots Teenage Fanclub making up the Top 10 with ‘Here’.
The Chainsmokers stay at the top of the UK Singles Chart with ‘Closer’ beating out DJ Snake and Justin Bieber’s ‘Let Me Love You’. Lady Gaga’s comeback ‘Perfect Illusion’ is the highest new entry at Number 12.
