After just over 12 years, Bestival has announced that it’ll be moving the festival away from the Isle Of Wight in 2017.
In a statement, founder Rob Da Bank confirmed that the festival had submitted a license application for a new site in Dorset around Lulworth Estate (the same location as their sister event Camp Bestival), detailing the planned move along with teasing plans for next year’s festival.
Da Bank added that the festival remained committed to supporting the Isle Of Wight through music, charities and other projects – with islanders getting an exclusive ticket offer for the new site along with news that they’re working towards a different event to take place on the island.
After this year’s bash which saw sets across the weekend from the likes of The Cure, Major Lazer and Hot Chip amongst 100s more, Bestival 2017 is slotted to take place between September 7th – 10th in 2017.
