Blaenavon’s new video has a dog in it, so it’s obviously worth a watch

‘I Will Be The World’ is a good song too, but, y’know – there’s a dog!

Blaenavon have been knocking round the new music circuit for quite a while now. The three piece – vocalist Ben Gregory, bassist Fran Wright and drummer Harris McMillan – have come a long way over the last few months, though.

Now signed to Transgressive and fresh from the studio with Jim Abbiss – who has worked with Peace and Bombay Bicycle Club, among others – they’re finally set up for the big leagues. More confident sounding than ever, it’s about time too, with Beats 1’s new music tsar Zane Lowe recently declaring them the most exciting thing since sliced indie.

The proof is in the pudding, though, and new single ‘I Will Be The World’ is an especially lovely jam rolly polly with distinctly unlumpy custard. And if the music isn’t enough, the just released video also features a 10/10 dog. Instant acclaim achieved.

Check it out ‘below’.
