Bleachers head to the mountain-tops with the storming ‘Don’t Take The Money’

Jack Antonoff is back with with a shimmering banger, with what sounds like a hint of Lorde on backing vocals

Jack Antonoff has been a busy chap over the past few years. Pretty much becoming the guru of every pop banger we’ve blared out and sang-along to (see Taylor Swift, Lorde’s recent return, Tegan & Sara, Carly Rae Jepsen and Grimes amongst others) – he’s pretty unstoppable. Now, he’s heading for the skies and he’s heading there quick as Bleachers once again, with the pounding Springsteen-pop hits of new track ‘Don’t Take The Money’

Simmering with every joyous hook, the track is the first new Bleachers’ material since 2014 ‘s debut LP ‘Strange Desire’, seething with an honesty and blistering heart-on-the-sleeve passion that’s destined for the biggest stages (and featuring, according to Billboard, Lorde on backing vocals).

Chatting about the track, Jack said:

“Don’t Take The Money’ is a phrase I say in my head all the time. It has nothing to do with actual money. It means to follow the light. Don’t ignore a gut feeling. ‘Don’t take the money.’ I repeat it to myself when I’m trying to stay on track. Specifically in this song I’m writing about my relationship and the verse and chorus run quickly through the past and the fight leading to the euphoria of seeing the light with someone else.”

With a new album lined up for release early in the summer, expect to hear a whole load of dazzling pop bangers heading this way – and that’s a forecast we’re pretty excited about.
