Bloc Party reveal new track ‘Stunt Queen’, one-off Roundhouse show

First new music since latest album ‘Hymns’ dropped earlier in the year.

Bloc Party have had a bit of a busy day, firstly revealing a one-off London show next February at The Roundhouse and then some brand spanking new music in the form of ‘Stunt Queen’.

The latest is a spiky no-nonsense number, the band’s first new material since the release of their fifth studio album ‘Hymns’ earlier in the year, and the first featuring all four current members of the band since bassist Justin Harris and drummer Louise Bartle joined.

Speaking about the track, frontman Kele Okereke said:

‘Stunt Queen has its genesis in an idea that dates back to the Australian tour we did at the start of 2016. It was an idea that we worked on at sound checks and was one of the first ideas to come along after Justin and Louise joined the band’

Bloc Party also announced a stand-alone London headline show to take place on February 10th next year, at The Roundhouse in London.
