Blossoms are set to release their debut album this August.
The self-titled full-length is set to drop on August 5th, including recent singles ‘Charlemagne’, At Most A Kiss’ and ‘Getaway’.
“All the songs are very personal to me as they’re about my relationships,” explains Blossoms frontman Tom Ogden. “I tend to write my best lyrics when I’m miserable and heartbroken, but placing that over music that’s very melodic, very pop, but with our own strange twist.”
Don’t actually go buy the record, then. Need to keep our Tom miserable for album two. That’s the takeaway, right?
Blossoms are set to play ‘the festivals’ this summer, including Glastonbury, T in the Park and Reading and Leeds.
The tracklist for ‘Blossoms’ reads:
‘Charlemagne’
‘At Most A Kiss’
‘Getaway’
‘Honey Sweet’
‘Onto Her Bed’
‘Texia’
‘Blown Rose’
‘Smashed Pianos’
‘Cut Me and I’ll Bleed’
‘My Favourite Room’
‘Blow’
‘Deep Grass’
