For a band deep in the midst of recording their third album, Chvrches are keeping themselves busy on all fronts – which seems to include a new project with movie star Kristen Stewart.
Speaking to the LA Times, Kristen revealed that she’s long been a fan of Lauren Mayberry & Co, explaining how “I had been asking them to let me do something for them for a while, they’re so good.”
Elaborating, the collaboration seems to revolve around a project for Planned Parenthood – with Kristen directing the piece in collaboration with the band. “I ended up with a pretty simple but definitive narrative arc that highlights the cause in a sweet but quiet and confronting way”.
It follows on from the news last month that Chvrches have been working in the studio with Eurythmics’ legend Dave Stewart on new material, with the band currently locked away pulling together the follow-up to 2015’s ‘Every Open Eye’
