Is this confirmation that Arcade Fire are on track for that new album in 2017?

Guitarist Tim Kingsbury is sounding pretty similar to Will Butler at the moment.

Get the staring pistols ready, it seems like that next Arcade Fire album is definitely gearing up for release in early 2017, at least that’s what guitarist Tim Kingsbury is saying.

Speaking to CBC Music in Paris, Kingsbury explained that the band are slap-bang in the middle of recording at the moment and new tunes are certainly coming together.

Elaborating, Kingsbury said: “We’ll probably be working for a few more months” with the album due out “sometime next year”

Talking about the recent run of headline dates they’re doing, including a huge slot at Bilbao BBK Live earlier this month, Kingsbury explained it was “because it’s been so long and it’s nice to get back into it, It’s a way to put a little burst of energy back into the [recording] process.”

It comes after Will Butler commented earlier in the year that suggested the new AF record will be out in early 2017. We don’t know specific, but christ is is not exciting all the same.
