Remember a few years ago, when Daphne & Celeste – they of ‘Ooh Stick You’ fame – re-appeared out of nowhere with a brand new single, and it was actually bloody brilliant?
Well, they’re at it again, with “the most unlikely comeback album of 2018”. And because your mates at Dork live for ‘this kind of thing’, we’re getting in on the act too.
Again teaming up with mastermind Max Tundra, who wrote and produced ‘You & I Alone’ back in 2015, the duo will drop new full-length ‘Daphne & Celeste Save The World’ on 30th March.
The news comes with a brand new track, ‘BB’ – a song that couldn’t be more Down With Boring if it was trying. Which it is.
“BB stands for Basic Busker,” explains Max, “any one of countless identikit instigators of mundane melodies that have brought the mood down in recent years. Pop music should lift the spirits – so why are the airwaves full of these mundane strummers?”
As if that wasn’t enough, we’re helping throw a celebratory party to mark the return of our two true queens.
