Leeds favourites Dead Naked Hippies have dropped a new video.
Their new clip for pounding post-punk banger ‘I Can’t Wait’ sees the band come up against a drill sergeant intent on making life difficult for them.
Frontwoman Lucy Jowett says of the song: “’I Can’t Wait’ is our gut reaction to those who are sucked so far into the system they’ve forgotten they’re alive. It’s an optimistic outlook on leaving them behind.
“We’re constantly being told to sell ourselves short to the point that we’re scared stiff to move. Creative outlets are deemed insignificant and unproductive because they serve no purpose to the system.”
Catch Dead Naked Hippies at The Old Blue Last in London on 15th September, and Hyde Park Book Club in Leeds on 27th September.
