Death From Above 1979 cancel tour due to AWOLNATION drop-out

Cheers for the support guys….

In a bizarre turn of events, Death From Above 1979 have had to cancel their upcoming US tour dates thanks to AWOLNATION jumping aboard someone else’s tour.

AWOLNATION recently announced that they’d be supporting the super-supergroup Prophets Of Rage on their upcoming tour dates, meaning in turn that they’d have to bail on the remaining DFA 1979 shows. Now unfortunately, the duo have had to cancel those dates.

Speaking about the decision in a Facebook post to fans, they stated that “the reality is that the costs of touring are simply too high for [them] to endeavour on such a short run.” and that they had “nothing to do with the decision.”

Don’t fear, they’re back on the road with Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and Deap Vally in October, so all’s well that ends well.

Just don’t expect them to be sending birthday cards to each other anytime soon…
