Deep Throat Choir premiere new ‘Baby’ video, announce London show

The band will play London’s Scala later this year.

Deep Throat Choir have dropped a new video for ‘Baby’, their stripped-back cover of the Donnie and Joe Emerson 70s classic – watch below, first on Dork.

“’Baby’ is the closest thing we have to have slow jam so we took the opportunity to make a really romantic video,” says director Katy Beth Young. “I feel very lucky that the choir trusted my artistic vision, even though it was my directorial debut and my main idea was to get everyone to pretend to make out with themselves in front of a green screen. We also added lots of slow dancing, some sparklers, the moon and a moving galaxy to make things extra tender.”

The clip coincides with the announcement of a new live date: the band will soon play a massive night at London’s Scala. Pick up your tickets here.

Deep Throat Choir’s latest album, ‘Be OK’ was released last month via Bella Union; it features two original compositions, alongside arrangements of existing songs by Electrelane, Wildbirds and Peacedrums, MK, Amy Winehouse and loads more.
