Deftones on course for their first Number 1 album

Drake is in the lead for the top of the singles chart.

Deftones might just get their first Number 1 album this week, as their new record ’Gore’ sits at the top of the Official Albums Chart midweeks.

The Lumineers and All Saints aren’t far behind however, with just 333 combined chart sales separating the three albums.

Other new entries to this week’s Top 40, include Frightened Rabbit ‘Painting Of A Panic Attack’ at Number 6, Eliza And The Bear’s self-titled debut at 17, M83’s ‘Junk’ at 20, Teleman’s ‘Brilliant Sanity’ at 32, Black Peaks’ debut ‘Statues’ at 33, and Parquet Courts’ ‘Human Performance’ at 36.

On the Official Singles Chart meanwhile, Drake is currently in the top spot with his new track ‘One Dance’, followed by Sia’s ‘Cheap Thrills’ at 2, Mike Posner’s ‘I Took A Pill In Ibiza’ at 3, Fifth Harmony’s ‘Work From Home’ at 4, and Zara Larsson’s ‘Lush Life’ at 5.
