Shame
We’re delighted to welcome Shame to the cover for the first time. After cutting a trail of brilliant mayhem on the way, they’ve finally arrived with their debut ‘Songs of Praise’, and we’re already calling it – this is the first great album of 2018.
Dream Wife
Dream Wife aren’t your average band. Like a fire burning hotter than the proverbial thousand suns, they’re here to fuck you up with a scorcher of a debut album. In their own words: “These bad bitches can take you down.”
Spector
With a new project in the works, 2018 will see Spector try to save guitar music. From what, we’re not sure (probably Tories – Ed). We’ll leave it to Fred Macpherson to explain.
Ezra Furman
Road trips with angels seem like the perfect thematic fuel for a great album. Exploring religion and identity, Ezra Furman’s new album ‘Transangelic Exodus’ is a triumph. But who, exactly, has been stealing his songs?
Hookworms
Body image, anxiety and death; Hookworms’ new album isn’t for the faint-hearted. ‘Microshift’ sees MJ and co. tackle the toughest of subjects via one of their most engaging releases to date.
Django Django

Franz Ferdinand
Franz Ferdinand are a man down, two new members up, and are about to embark on their most ambitious, and perhaps risky, album yet. Join them as they attempt to grasp the Holy Grail.
First Aid Kit
First Aid Kit have thrown out the rule book to have fun with their darkest album to date. “It sounds like we’re drunk,” they say, “but we’re not.”
Rae Morris
Kicking off 2018 with one of the best pop albums in recent memory, Rae Morris has stepped away from her sound of old, into brighter territory. It’s not all “happy-clappy music”, though.
The Orielles
The Orielles are a ray of sunshine to brighten even the greyest of winter days. Their debut album features a bunch of everyday objects they found laying around the studio and heaps of fun piled on top. It’s a winning combination.
Peace
They’re back. Teaming up with mental health charity MQ to drop a brand new track, we catch up with Harry Koisser to delve deep into Peace’s return.
Marmozets
The cruel trials of life nearly derailed them, but finally Marmozets are back, smarter, stronger and, above all, stranger.
