Eat Me have released a smashing new video for ‘Melon Enema‘. We say smashing ‘cos the song is a total banger but also because at the end of the video the band…actually, why not see for yourself?
‘Melon Enema’ is the title track to Eat Me’s brand new EP and follows on from the snooty charm of ‘Boy‘. ‘Melon Enema’ is out September 9th via Venn Records.
That’s literally months away though. To pass the time the band will be playing a show with Puppy at London’s Black Heart on August 23rd and you can preorder ‘Melon Enema’ right now. See, isn’t life fun.
“There was certainly some anxiety in the Eat Me camp when it came to how we were gonna do this record (don’t tell anyone but I’m still a bit anxious now, writing this),” explain the band. “Nonetheless, we knew, no matter how metronome-laden, over-processed and reverb-drenched most of the rock music in our scene had become, we could not bow down and do things their way. We had to do it our way. Four guys in the same room, winding up, counting in, and letting the push & pull of the songs play out as they do on stage.
“Despite my anxieties, it’s safe to say we have never been more proud of a record. This is without doubt our most heartfelt and honest mission statement as a band. We hope you like it, if not, Eat Me. “
