Fancy more The 1975 drama? The band just went full ‘white out’ on social media

What does it mean?

Yesterday, in between all the drama about possibly-leaked-or-perhaps-not release dates, The 1975’s manager Jamie Oborne made a simple tweet to frontman Matty Healy.

With the band set to deliver quite possibly the most anticipated album of 2018, ‘Music For Cars’ at some point over the next year, it appears that next phase has started, with the band’s social accounts switching to full on ‘white out’ mode.

As pointed out by our chums The 1975 Updates, the band’s individual accounts have all made the swap on Twitter and Instagram.

The development follows a supposed release date being listed on a Guardian article previewing pop music in 2018. Suggesting we should expect the album on 27th April, we later discovered the same date was doing the rounds previously on a user edited list of albums, casting doubt on its validity. Seemingly in response to the news, Oborne tweeted a link to Public Enemy’s ‘Don’t Believe The Hype’ on Spotify.

Either way round, ‘Music For Cars’ is one of our 10 most anticipated albums for 2018. You can read more here.
