Father John Misty delivers a VR trip with the video for ‘Total Entertainment Forever’

George Washington? Macaulay Culkin? Ronald McDonald in alien form? It’s got everything we need

We knew VR could get a bit odd, but Father John Misty’s vision for it all may just be the most unmissable VR experience yet – as laid out in the video for ‘Total Entertainment Forever’

The clip features everything you never knew you wanted in a surreal video experience. Whether that’s George Washington diving into VR, Macaulay Culkin dressed as Kurt Cobain and being crucified, a Ronald McDonald puppet bursting from Father John’s chest or the fact that Father John Misty is rolling around with hooks for hands. You genuinely couldn’t write this if you tried.

‘Total Entertainment Forever’ is taken from Father John Misty’s storming new album ‘Pure Comedy’, released earlier in the month. You can guarantee it’s all going to sound pretty bloody stunning when he headlines End Of The Road festival this year, before returning in November for a string of UK headline shows. If it’s going to be anything like our recent chat with the man himself, then it’s going to be pretty unmissable.
