Josh Tillman has revealed that the next Father John Misty album is very nearly done.
The follow-up to ‘Pure Comedy’, released earlier this year, is “pretty much done” he tells NME in a new interview.
All that’s left to do is finish up one song. “I have to put a new bass synth part on [it],” he says. “I spent hours just screaming, crying in frustration going through synth patches trying to find the right one.”
The self-produced ten-track effort will feature “spritely BPMs” and is due sometime next year.
