Fever Dream premiere new single ‘Youth (Is Wasted on The Old)’

Second album ‘Squid’ is on the way.

London trio Fever Dream are back with a new single – check out ‘Youth (Is Wasted on The Old)’ below, first on Dork.

The nostalgia-led slice of noisy shoegaze is taken from upcoming second album ‘Squid’, the follow up to 2015 debut ‘Moyamoya’, released 29th September via Club AC30.

“‘Youth (is Wasted on the Old)’ is about yearning for a past that never existed, about the old ruining the future for the young, about regret for a life unfulfilled,” explains vocalist Adey Fleet.

“But it’s not without hope; it’s a call to arms for the young to call-out the misgivings of the middle-aged, to change their world view. The shoegaze-inflected verse builds pace and tension until it’s broken apart by a soaring, slacker chorus – punctuated by an off-kilter, screeching solo.”
