Fleet Foxes are definitely coming back. Promise. Scout’s honour.
It’s five years since the band last did much of anything, since when leader Robin Pecknold has returned to university and played a number of solo shows, most recently opening of Joanna Newsom.
However, it looks like things may be starting to move, according to guitarist Christian Wargo.
After spending the last half-decade working as a woodworker (the most Fleet Foxes job ever? – Ed) and illustrator, Wargo has revealed that words have been exchanged about getting the band back together.
“It’s not, like, ‘announced’ or anything, and none of us really knew it was coming, but it’s happening,” he told DISTINCT. “Possibly unofficially at this stage, but it’s definitely a thing.”
Can you take that one to the bank? It’ll do, right? Back, back, BACK?
