Francobollo have released the video for their song ‘Future Lover’, and it’s a little bit strange.
Animated by Sufiyan Salam and Anna Smith, it starts innocently enough, with a hand-drawn man running along and singing the lyrics. The man then turns into an alien, then a man again, and then a ghost. Because of course he does.
By the end of the video our protagonist is a skeleton running into an explosion, which prompts a “Game Over” screen to flash up. We’re not entirely sure what it all means, but if it makes Francobollo happy, then who are we to complain?
‘Future Lover’ is taken from the band’s debut album “Long Live Life”, which is out now. They’re also on tour right this very second, so see full details of those dates under the player.
