Frank Ocean drops new ‘visual’ album ‘Endless’, has another coming at the weekend

This one isn’t ‘Boys Don’t Cry’. The other one is. But it isn’t called ‘Boys Don’t Cry’ anymore. Yeah. We know.

You spend ages waiting for an album, all patient like. And it turns out that before you can get the album, someone has to build a staircase. It’s a common story, everyday sort of thing. But then when that album is supposed to drop, it doesn’t come. There’s nothing. Matey even stops building his bloody stairs. Then, when you don’t expect it, when everything has calmed down, he drops a TOTALLY DIFFERENT ALBUM.

We’ve all been there.

Frank Ocean has dropped a new album overnight. But it’s not ‘Boys Don’t Cry’. That would be too easy. Instead it’s a brand new, 45-minute long ‘visual album’ called ‘Endless’, which is streaming on Apple Music. It features the likes of James Blake, Jonny Greenwood, Arca, Alex G and Sampha. It’s a big deal.

Finally, right? We can all move on with our lives.

Wait. There’s another one coming? According to reports? Not ‘reports’ again.

According to Rolling Stone, there’s a separate full-length coming this weekend – and that one is the one we know as ‘Boys Don’t Cry’. Though it’s not called ‘Boys Don’t Cry’ anymore. We don’t know what it’s called. Or if it’s actually coming. We all know what happened last time.

He did say he had two versions though. Can’t say we weren’t warned. No way he’s making this up as he goes along at this point, right? Right?!
