Fuck Buttons’ Andrew Hung is back with his debut solo album – check out new track ‘Animal’

Need a kick up the bum to start the week? Here you go.

Fuck Buttons co-founder Andrew Hung has returned with his debut solo album.

Following on from his band’s 2013 full-length ‘Slow Focus’, he’ll release ‘Realisationship’ on 6th October on Lex Records.

It’s an album that sees Andrew flex his musical muscles: from trying out a new sound, to using his own vocals. “I had no idea I was going to be singing on this record; it just happened!” he says. “Gaining the confidence to do that was the hardest part – singing as an expression is very new to me.”

Today Andrew debuts new single ‘Animal’; a manic burst of lo-fi goodness that builds to a furious climax. “’Animal’ is a warning that oppression brings about consequences; we have bred fear and now we are reaping its effects,” says Andrew. “We cannot address the external without first addressing the internal.”
