Ginger Snaps is back with his new single, ‘Anorak’.
The follow up to ‘Phat Kids’ and ‘Number Crunching’, it sees Jay Brook Northampton once again showcase his knack for the catchiest off-kilter pop you’ll hear all day.
“I feel like we’re in a saturated musical world where there is a lot of music on a great race to the middle,” he says of the track. “Trying not to say anything whilst saying everything and neurotically trying to be relevant.
“I ain’t on that! I’m not even entering that race and I just love using the freedom to have so fun… starting with ‘Anorak’!
“Ginger Snaps is a thing that allows me so much scope! I’ve done a pop single, a funk single and this new ones a bit baggier. I’m enjoying just working with different musicians so it stays fresh!”
