Dropping another chunk of angsty, rebellious and glitchy pop, GIRLI has unveiled her fresh new single, titled ‘Girl I Met On The Internet’.
Capturing that confusing time between teenage years and sudden adult life, ’Girl I Met On The Internet’ is the delectable and unifying anthem that GIRLI’s been promising for a while now – and it’s better then we ever could of thought.
Speaking to NME about the track, GIRLI said:
“I wrote this tune about that illusion you have as a teenager, All the confusion, awkwardness and sadness you have could be solved by finding one person who could be your bae and make everything OK. It’s about wanting to have a girlfriend/boyfriend to be cute with, yet ignore all the other sides of a relationship, like the shitty bits and the bits where you have to be an adult. It’s a naive song about just wanting to meet a girl on the internet and her make everything alright”
GIRLI is set to head out on the road with Oscar at the end of September, travelling across the UK for probably one of the most colourful shows of the year.
