Girli’s got a new single coming next week, and it’s called ‘Day Month Second’.
She played the song at her Dingwalls show in November last year, and says it’s about “when you really like somebody and then it ends or they like fuck you over or something, then a couple of months down the line you’re like, ‘I’m so over this person! I feel great!’ said no one ever.
“And you tell yourself you’re fine but you’re really not, and you’re obsessing over everything, everything they’ve said in the texts … and you obsess over the day that it ended, that’s what this song’s about.”
We don’t know the day or second it’ll be released, but we do know the month, and it’s June.
