Girlpool hang out at the lake for new ‘It Gets More Blue’ video

New album ‘Powerplant’ is due this May.

Girlpool have followed their recent track ‘123’ with a new video for ‘It Gets More Blue’ – check it out below.

The band’s new album ‘Powerplant’ is set to drop on 12th May. “I see vulnerable softness as a place where the honest self can come forward,” Cleo Tucker explains of the full-length, while Harmony Tividad adds: “As a society I feel that we perceive softness and vulnerability as traits that are ‘weak’, and people emotionally disconnect themselves in order to avoid going through everything they feel. I think what is most important right now is empathy, and in order to have empathy we must first feel what we, ourselves, feel.”

The album was recorded over ten days in Los Angeles’ Comp-ny studios, with Drew Fischer. They were also joined by drummer Miles Wintner. “I think percussion adds a new part of the musical dynamic that we want to explore,” says Cleo.
