The odds of Glass Animals winning this year’s Mercury Prize have tumbled in the run up to tonight’s ceremony.
The band are up for the award with their recent album ‘How To Be A Human Being’, and currently have odds of just 3/1 putting them in second place behind Kate Tempest.
“The gamble on Glass Animals has been quite remarkable and there is every chance that they will be favourites by the time the announcement show starts,” says William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
The full list of odds are: 11/4 Kate Tempest; 3/1 Glass Animals; 10/3 Sampha; 6/1 J-Hus; 6/1 Stormzy; 8/1 Loyle Carner; 16/1 Alt-j; 16/1 Dinosaur; 16/1 The xx; 25/1 The Big Moon; 33/1 Blossoms; 33/1 Ed Sheeran.
Poor Ed.
