If there’s a band who are right within that glorious moment of success around the world and adoration wherever they go, then it’s definitley Glass Animals right about now – who’ve finally unveiled their very own web game.
Based around the story of their recent video for ‘Season 2 Episode 3’, the game finds you running through the digital world you see in the clip – gathering points along the way and finding the band in digital form.
Talking about the game, which you can play right here, the band said:
“As we all know…Season 2 Episode 3 is about someone who sits around all day playing video games, web shopping, feasting on Netflix and Deliveroo between cigarettes,”
“The video was meant to visualize that and what happens when you spend too much time on a computer and you try to hit ‘undo’ when you drop your chicken nugget, or when you watch too much stranger things and you start to think you can maybe move things with your mind. In the video the main character’s life turns into a video game… and now you can play that game!”
“You can throw the skateboard you’ve never really used, you can play with your food, you can attack your crazy neighbour who makes too much noise doing what you can only imagine is building some kind of jetpack. But mainly and most importantly you can get points.”
Exactly, you can get points now! It caps off a landmark year for the Oxford alt-pop diamonds who released second album ‘How To Be A Human Being’ earlier in the year to huge acclaim. You can find out more about the record from our cover feature we did back in August, which you can check out here.
Glass Animals will return to the UK for their biggest UK headline tour in March, which includes a night at London’s Brixton Academy amongst others.
