Go off the ‘Deep End’ with Lykke Li at BBC Music’s Biggest Weekend

A full black PVC stage get up on one of the hottest days of the year? That’s true pop art.

There’s no Glastonbury this year – you may have noticed. Because of that, the good ol’ BBC decided – rather than shift their wall to wall coverage to one of the other UK festivals – they’d expand their annual Big Weekend and make it, y’know, even bigger.

So, over the past few days, loads of huge names have been playing at various venues across the UK for BBC Music’s Biggest Weekend. At normal festivals, you don’t get Ed Sheeran opening stages, or Taylor Swift showing up for a quick 30 minute set – but in the world of major broadcaster organised events, anything is possible.

It also means loads – LOADS – of footage is available online. Including Lykke Li showcasing ‘Deep End’, one of the new tracks from her forthcoming album ‘So Sad So Sexy’. Bonus marks for the full black PVC outfit on one of the hottest days of the year – it’s not true pop art without getting a bit of a sweat on, right?
