Pop-punk heroes Green Day have cancelled their show tonight in Glasgow. The gig was due to
go ahead at Bellahouston Park with Rancid as support, but the promoter PCL announced via Twitter this afternoon that the event would be pulled.
In their statement, PCL said that ‘adverse weather conditions’ had made it unsafe for the bands to perform. At this stage it doesn’t look like the gig will be rescheduled either, with PCL noting that tickets will be refunded from point of purchase.
[2/2] unfortunately today's show will be cancelled. Tickets will be refunded from point of purchase within ten working days.

Tonight’s Glasgow date was set to be the band’s final UK date on this run, as they’re off to Spain on Friday before returning to the US.
UPDATE: Green Day have released a statement via their Facebook page, saying they are ‘distraught’ by the cancellation. Check that out below.
